Palapa Lounge Beachwear, Downtown Los Gatos, CA

Thursday night was Girl's Night Out at Palapa Lounge Beachwear on West Main Street in Downtown Los Gatos. I've DJed for owner Karen over a dozen times over the past 4 years, family parties, graduations, birthdays etc... but tonight it was all about the ladies! Plenty came out to enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres, deals on bikinis, bags, beachwear, lotions, flash tattoos, and more!

Palapa Lounge is a perfect mix of high fashion and laid back beach style. I even came home with a gift for my wife, and a hat for myself from Esky Flavor!

Maria and Anthony's Client Appreciation Event and Home for a Home Spotlight, Cerruti Cellars, CA

Saturday night I had the pleasure of DJing for Maria and Anthony's client appreciation party. It was held at beautiful Cerruti Cellars in Jack London Square.

What a venue! This place was decked out with wine barrels, modern yet rustic designs. Lot's of hardwood styling, some amazing welded pieces, pipe shelves and spectacularly unique chandeliers. Lydia, Jeff, and Josh were behind and in front of the bar making sure that the guest's needs were taken care of.

It was a two room set up, so I chained a speaker from the main dining room to the bar area so the whole place could enjoy the mood music and the announcements. I'm pretty sure it was the first time I've set up my turntables on top of wine barrels. The crowd was easygoing and fun, everyone enjoyed themselves amidst the food, the music, and the wine! There was also a featured information table for the Home for a Home project. They are a non-profit organization that uses revenue from real estate sales to provide affordable, sturdy housing for those in need.

Maria and Anthony, you threw a wonderful party, I hope to work with you again in the near future.

The Music

I can't imagine what my life would be without music. Roadtrips would be terribly boring, my wife would have to deal with me having some other strange hobby, and many of life's events would be extremely dull.

Music magnifies life, it captures moments in memory by instant association. It takes feeling and stretches it to the extremes. An entire era of life can be recalled by, or a new era of life can start with just the first few notes of a song.

I've decided to always keep myself close to music, that's why I chose to be a DJ.
